Air Preheat Systems
In approaching thermal efficiency for new equipment, or retrofitting existing units, we consider all parameters to achieve maximum efficiency at the lowest installed cost. The Broach Adjunct Loop Air Preheat System constitutes and truly significant advancement in furnace design. Every aspect of the Adjunct Loop System is covered by broad patents in the USA and nine other countries. Its unique simplicity and compactness provides low installation, operation and maintenance costs. As a salient feature of its design, the Adjunct Loop System totally and completely eliminates cold end corrosion, thus avoiding a major pitfall usually associated with other preheat systems.
The G.C. Broach Company has furnished process heat for offshore platforms as complete Heat Medium Systems, Direct Fired Heaters, Indirect Bath Type Heaters and all forms of Waste Heat Recovery all over the world. Special emphasis is given to weight, volume, safety, corrosion and dependability.
Alaska’s North Slope
Since 1974, The G.C. Broach Company has furnished the majority of North Slope Process Heat applications with 36 process heaters and waste heat recovery units on line. All units, specifically designed for the harsh artic environment, are operating today, with a total heat absorption in excess of 1.9 billion BTU/hr.
Pipeline heaters and pipeline related process heaters continue to be consistent application for The G.C. Broach Company. The pipeline heaters are typically low profile, fully automated unattended installations.
Heat Medium Systems
The G.C. Broach Company has established a solid reputation for the supply of completely integrated Heat Medium Systems consisting of one or many fully piped and wire skid mounted modules. Our systems are designed to utilize glycols, steam, water, salt, various hydrocarbon liquid streams and all proprietary liquids and vapors.
Broach has a very broad experience and expertise in the design and construction of process systems packaged into skid mounted modules. Special attention is given to the placement of all equipment and valves so that al components that need attention are fully and easily accessible. Skids are assembled with all wiring, instrumentation and fully dressed vessels in place so that field tie-ins between skids are limited to simple flanged spools and wire runs.
Control Systems & Fuel Trains
Hundreds of Fuel Trains have been designed and manufactured by Broach to provide flame safety and burner management for all the various process heat applications, covering a wide variety of liquid and gaseous fuels. All systems undergo a complete sequential and functional checkout prior to shipment; a factor that is exceedingly important with projects destined for remote locations.
Fresh, imaginative thinking seasoned with sound engineering practice, combined with skilled craftsmanship, has established The G.C. Broach Company as a premier supplier of heating equipment for the food processing industry. Superb stainless steel fabrication techniques, heat transfer analysis and our experience with the design of packaged process systems makes The G.C. Broach Company a natural for supplying the finest quality equipment available to the food processing industry.
Revamps & Retrofits
The G.C. Broach Company has furnished revamp components, field modification, drawings and field service for over one hundred process installations. Approximately half of the revamps have been performed on process heat equipment originally furnished by others. Our vast experience and history with the details of process heat equipment allow The G.C. Broach Company to work within confined physical, process and mechanical restraints to produce revamp and retrofit solutions perfectly suited to the goal.
We have a long and very successful track record for revamping and retrofitting existing units to improve efficiency, increase capacity, reduce emissions, upgrade physical conditions, or any combination of these goals.
